Position Summary:
We are looking for a candidate who’s experienced working under the general direction of the Solution Desk Manager, provides direct technical expertise, support, and oversight of the Airport’s IT department systems. The IT Asset Coordinator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with various departments to ensure efficient asset management. to actively manage these systems while maintaining maximum operational readiness and life cycle value. Become familiar with the basics of Airport’s Environmental Management System & Environmental Policy and implement Best Management & Good Housekeeping Practices.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):
Asset Inventory Management:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including computers, servers, networking equipment, software licenses, and peripherals.
Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of asset records and identify discrepancies.
Procurement and Allocation:
Collaborate with procurement and IT teams to purchase new IT assets as needed.
Allocate assets to users or departments based on organizational needs and priorities.
Asset Tracking and Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed records and documentation for each IT asset, including specifications, purchase dates, warranty information, and disposal records.
Implement a standardized asset tagging system to facilitate tracking.
Maintenance and Upkeep:
Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs for IT assets.
Ensure software licenses are up to date and compliance is maintained.
Disposal and Decommissioning:
Develop and execute processes for the proper disposal and decommissioning of obsolete or retired IT assets.
Ensure data security protocols are followed during asset disposal.
Vendor Management:
Liaise with IT vendors and service providers to manage warranties, service agreements, and vendor relationships.
Reporting and Analytics:
Generate regular reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle management for IT management and stakeholders.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimization strategies.
Policy Adherence:
Ensure adherence to IT asset management policies and best practices.
Help develop and update IT asset management policies as needed.
Leads and coordinates project and operational tasks and assignments as required.
Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. (3) years’ experience in IT asset management
3. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
4. Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Knowledge of the principles and practices of facilities maintenance and asset management.
2. Previous experience in IT asset management or a related role preferred.
3. Strong understanding of IT hardware and software.
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
5. Proficiency in using asset management software and tools.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
8. Knowledge of IT procurement processes and vendor management.
9. Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks is a plus.
